Since 2002, CNST director Shie-Ming Peng has been in charge of the co-operation and integration of Nano science researchers in National Taiwan University. In 2006, he re-organized the research team members and separated them into 3 different research groups:
Basic Research on Advanced Materials
Main researchers: Shie-Ming Peng, Yu Wang, Pi-Tai Chou

Novel Infrared Emitter/Detector and Applications
Main researchers: Cheewee Liu, Si-Chen Lee , Hsu-Liang Hsieh, Chieh-Hsiung Kuan, Hao-Hsiung Lin.
Emission Characteristics of Nano-Materials Structures
Main researchers: Chih-Chung Yang, Ching-Fuh Lin, Lung-Han Peng .
